Every cat deserves a happy home
Welcome to our adoption page. Here you will find all our cats who are currently looking for homes.
Charity No. 1213234
Adopting a cat is a huge decision and a lifelong commitment, and the basics of neutering, vaccinations and microchipping are expensive. We subsidise those costs for you, covering the vet treatment your cat needs and providing the essentials as part of the adoption package.
Every cat is neutered or spayed before adoption. Kittens too young for the operation go home with a contract to return to our vets by four months old, paid for by the rescue.
Vaccinations cover the first year and every cat is checked by our vets. Any health issues are listed on their description, and vet records go home with the family.
All cats are microchipped and registered with Pet Trac at no extra cost to you, and are up to date with flea and worm treatment when they leave.
Cover from Pet Plan for four weeks while you choose a provider, plus 10% off your first year with Pet Plan.
Our adoption fee helps recover part of your new cat's costs, so we can help the next cat in need.
Each of our cats lives in an individual foster home, so we get to know them properly before they meet you. Fill in the enquiry form and we will be in touch.
Handsome Houdini is an 11 year old gentleman looking for a peaceful retirement with a family to call his own. Do not let his age fool you, he still has plenty of love and companionship to offer. He is a wonderfully chilled boy who has settled back into rescue life with ease and has already reminded us how much he enjoys a cosy lap.
He is happiest in a calm home where he can enjoy a quiet life. If you are looking for a loyal companion to curl up beside you on the sofa, he could be the perfect match.

Houdini originally came into our care five years ago and, through no fault of his own or his previous family, has recently returned to us. Like all cats adopted through The Cat House Rescue, he always has the security of a lifetime safety net if circumstances change.
Mercury came to us after he was abandoned by his owners. He was in quite the state when he arrived, with bad teeth and conjunctivitis, and was feeling very sorry for himself. He is a new cat now: all healthy and cleaned up, with a full dental behind him and much better eyes.
He is a lovely, gentle and friendly boy who loves a good fuss. His favourite things include lounging on the bed, sitting on the paper bills the postman kindly brings, and watching his water fountain. He does play, but mainly he loves attention, and will nudge your hand if you ignore him for too long.
