Here you will find all our cats who are currently looking for homes.
Neutered/ Spayed
All cats are neutered/ spayed before they go up for adoption. In the case of kittens who are too young to undergo an operation, they will be adopted with a contract stating they must be taken back to our vets to be neutered/ spayed by 4 months old, paid for by the rescue.
Fully Vaccinated & Health Checked
All our cats are fully vaccinated which covers them for the first year. They have also been health checked by our vets at either Paws & Co or Chantry Vets. Any health issues will be stated on their descriptions and vet records are given to all families and can be requested before adoption.
Microchipped
All cats are microchipped and registered through Pet Trac with no additional cost to you.
4 Weeks Free Insurance
Your cat will be covered for 4 weeks with insurance from Pet Plan while you decide which insurance provider to use. We are also able to offer you 10% off your first year with Pet Plan.
Our adoption fee is £150 and helps recover part of Your New Cats costs so we can help the next cat in need.

Houdini

Handsome Houdini is an 11 year old gentleman looking for a peaceful retirement with a family to call his own.
Don’t let his age fool you, Houdini still has plenty of love, affection and companionship to offer. He’s a wonderfully chilled, gentle boy who has settled back into rescue life with ease and has already reminded us just how much he enjoys a cosy lap for cuddles.
Houdini is happiest in a calm home where he can enjoy a quiet life. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to curl up beside you on the sofa, keep you company and brighten your days, he could be the perfect match.
Houdini would like:
- A home with safe outdoor access away from busy roads.
- To be the only pet, as he prefers all the attention to himself.
- A quiet home without resident children, although he’s such a gentle boy that visiting children would be absolutely fine.
Houdini originally came into our care five years ago and, through no fault of his own or his previous family, has recently returned to us. Like all cats adopted through The Cat House Rescue, he always has the security of a lifetime safety net if circumstances change.

Mercury

Meet Mercury. Mercury came into us after he was abandoned by his owners. He was in quite the state when he arrived with bad teeth and conjunctivitis. He was feeling very sorry for himself.
Now Mercury is a new cat. He’s all healthy and cleaned up. He’s had a full dental and his eyes are much better.
He’s now all ready to find his new home.
Mercury is around 7 years old. He’s a lovely, gentle and friendly boy who loves a good fuss.
Some of his favourite things include lounging on the bed, sitting on the paper bills the postman kindly brings and watching his water fountain.
He does play but he mainly loves attention and will nudge your hand if you ignore him for too long.
Mercury has been through so much but still loves being around people.
He could live with another cat, but not a big multi cat household. He’s not keen on dogs.
He’s very gentle so would be absolutely fine with children.
He will need outdoor access when he’s ready to go out so a safe garden away from busy roads is a must.
