Every cat deserves a happy home
Support our work
We receive no local or government funding. Everything we do is paid for by people like you. Here are the ways to help.

Become a CHR Champion
Monthly giving, from £6 a month
The most useful thing you can do for us. A regular donation lets us book vet slots in advance and say yes to a cat without first working out whether we can afford it. Champions also get access to our private Facebook group, where you can follow the cats your money is helping.
Give to Alice's Fund
Funding our trap, neuter, return work
Alice's Fund pays for neutering. It is named after a cat who died in labour after her fifth litter, on the streets, because nobody ever had her done. Every penny goes on stopping that happening to the next one: £5 microchips a cat, £85 neuters a tom, £108 spays a female.
Raise money for free
easyfundraising, at no cost to you
If you shop online, this one costs you absolutely nothing. Sign up once, pick us as your cause, and a percentage of what you already spend comes to us instead of staying with the retailer. Thousands of shops take part, and you pay exactly the same price you would have paid anyway.
Volunteer for us
Give us your time instead
We need people who can help trap cats across Bradford, and people who can drive them to and from the vets. Neither needs experience, only patience and a bit of time, and we will show you what to do. If you can only manage the odd evening, that is still a cat that gets done.

Join our foster team
A spare room saves a life
We have no building, so every cat we take in stays with a fosterer. That is the single thing that limits how many cats we can help. We cover the food, the litter and the vet bills. You provide the room, the company, and the reassurance that people are not all bad.

Host an event for us
A morning of your time, a month of ours
A coffee morning, a cake sale, a raffle at work, a quiz night, a collection tin on the counter of your shop. Small events add up to real money, and we can supply collection tins and materials. Tell us what you have in mind and we will help you set it up.

Buy from our Amazon wish list
Send us what we actually need
Everything on the list is something we are short of right now: dry food, wet food, kitten food, litter, bedding and cleaning supplies. You buy it, Amazon sends it straight to us, and nothing gets spent on the wrong thing. It is a good option if you would rather give something than give money.
Other ways to help
Two more that take a minute and cost nothing.
Give once
A single donation still makes a real difference, and you do not need to commit to anything. Give a one off donation.
Share our posts
It costs nothing and it genuinely works. Every share puts a cat in front of somebody who might be the right home. Find us at facebook.com/thecathouseyorkshire.
Where your money goes
We are entirely volunteer run. Nobody here takes a wage, we have no building, and every donation goes on the cats: vet treatment, neutering, food, litter, and the traps and carriers that let us get them off the streets safely.
